A bet on Team A to win, stake ৳500: Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200. If the bet wins, total return is ৳1,500 (৳1,000 profit + ৳500 stake). If the bet loses, the full ৳500 is lost.
A bet on Team B to win: Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American -400. On a stake of ৳500, the return is ৳625 (profit of only ৳125). Because the favourite's odds are lower, the profit is also lower.
Cricket match winner odds example
In a limited-overs match (no draw): Team A 1.45, Team B 2.75. ৳1,000 placed on Team B — if Team B wins, return is ৳2,750 (profit ৳1,750). If Team A wins, ৳1,000 is lost.
Handicap and over/under markets
In a handicap market, one team is given an artificial advantage or disadvantage. In an over/under market, you bet on whether the total runs or goals will be above or below a set line. These markets are judged on the outcome described, not just the numbers.
Using the bet slip — single and multi bets

Odds for three events: 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.80 = 4.32 (approximate). On a stake of ৳100, if all three win, the return is ৳432. If even one loses, the full ৳100 is lost.

BACKing Team A at decimal 2.00 with a ৳1,000 stake — if Team A wins, profit is ৳1,000 (minus commission); if not, ৳1,000 is lost. LAYing means betting against Team A winning — liability is ৳1,000.
